Apple is reportedly ramping up production of the rumored 10.5-inch iPad Pro and expects to ship up to 6 million by the end of 2017. The company apparently started in the March/April window with 500,000 units a month, and has now bumped that up to 600,000.
Supplier data suggests that Apple will trim iPhone production by about 10 percent in the first quarter of 2017, a modest reduction following the holiday sales period. But to the clickbait tech press, it’s all doom and gloom.
It may be easier to get ahold of AirPods soon because Inventec, the company manufacturing them for Apple, is expanding its production. That’s good news for impatient consumers who are currently waiting upwards of six weeks for theirs to arrive.
