QuickerTek announced the immediate availability of its new 17-inch MacBook Pro Transceiver on Monday. The transceiver offers between a 50 and 100 percent performance improvement by boosing AirPort signal strength and reception distance. It doesnit require any special mounting equipment, leaves the built-in AirPort Extreme card fully functional, includes its own power adapter, and is compatible with 802.11b and 802.11g wireless networks. The 17-inch MacBook Pro Transceiver is priced at US$200.
