ABSYNTH 2.0 To Ship In May

NATIVE INSTRUMENTS has announced the upcoming release of a ABSYNTH 2.0. ABSYNTH is a virtual synthesizer designed for creating custom sounds ranging from organic noises to rhythms. The latest version, slated for a May release, will ship with an expanded feature set including sampling abilities. According to NATIVE INSTRUMENTS:

NATIVE INSTRUMENTS is happy to announce the first major update of their award winning, semi modular software synthesizer: ABSYNTH 2.0.

ABSYNTH 2.0 breaks through all the barriers of conventional synthesizersand paves the way for the future of sound synthesis. The flexibility in sound shaping and design is unprecedented: never before has a synthesizer been capable of such an enormous and vivid sound spectrum.

ABSYNTH 2.0 includes more than 800 evocative, expressive, and musical presets that cover an astonishing range of sonic territory.

ABSYNTH 2.0 is now a synthesizer and a sampler. An intuitive patch window makes it easy to mix sampling, granular sampling, subtractive, wavetable, FM, AM, ring modulation, and wave shaping synthesis. Each voice has six synth oscillators (or three sampling oscillators), four filters, three ring modulators, and a wave shaping distortion function.

You can find more information about the latest ABSYNTH release at the NATIVE INSTRUMENTS Web site. ABSYNTH 2.0 upgrades will be available for US$99.00, while the full version will be available for US$299.00.
