APSplit Enables Splitting of PDFs

Appligent Inc. on Wednesday released APSplit Desktop Edition, a standalone version of its solution for splitting PDFs to meet the document size requirements of courts and other organizations. Users drag and drop the files they want to split and then specify the maximum file size or the number of pages it should contain. Files can also be split according to page ranges or by bookmarks.

APSplit Desktop Edition also supports linearized PDF output, which lets users view the initial pages of a document while still downloading the file. Pricing is US$199 per user. The software runs in Mac OS X, but Appligent didnit note the minimum version required.
