Aescapia Releases Maintenance Update For Hollow Ground

Aescapia AB has released an update for Hollow Ground, bringing it to version 1.2. Hollow Ground is a 2D shooter styled game set in the post-apocolyptic future. The update ships with new levels and stability enhancements. According to Aescapia AB:

AESCAPIA AB has just released major update version 1.2 of our popular Mac-first game Hollow Ground.

Hollow Ground is a post-apocalyptic future 2D third-person tactical shooter. You, and possibly a friend, watch the action from a top-view perspective, and control two of four mercenaries on their way down through the Epsilon Nine bunker. On the way you will have to battle armies of mutated creatures while navigating your way through the labyrinthine tunnels. You will find weapons to aid your quest, and credit chips for use in the shops that appear between levels.

The new version of Hollow Ground is our second major update and includes many improvements and some bug fixes. Some of the more important changes are a brand new start level, a new bonus level based on the old start level and a complete re-balance of the entire game, as suggested by users, to make it more challenging and fun at the higher difficulty levels.

We have also addressed better backwards compatibility with previous versions of MacOS X like 10.1.

Many small but also significant improvements makes this the best, most stable and most compatible version of Hollow Ground yet, marking a mature shareware game with a large number of users.

You can find more information about the Hollow Ground update at the Aescapia AB Web site. The update is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$19.00.
