A fter it was reported yesterday that Amazon was offering a $50 rebate on MacOS X 10.2, Observer Stephen Joiner let us know that the Amazon School of Rebates page was quickly altered to list at the original price:
I note that less than 24 hours after Amazon was advertising Jaguar for $79.95 ($129.95 - $50 rebate) they have apparently pulled the offer. The link you listed in your article yesterday now shows only the standard $129.95 price, with no mention of rebate.
Checking on this at around 1am (Central) this morning, we noted that this is still the case. Meanwhile, another Observer pointed out that the mail-in rebate coupon still listed the $50 refund.
When this is clarified, weill be sure to let you know.
