Apple Announces WWDC Plans For 2001 (Leather OS X Jackets For First 1500 Registrants!)

Apple has sent out the invites to developers for the World Wide Developer Conference of 2001 (WWDC). The WWDC is the largest gathering of Mac developers in the world, and is held each May. Last yearis Conference was the largest ever held, and it looks this year will be even bigger. Apple is billing the event as a major OS X event, and they are offering the first 1500 registrants a "black, genuine leather Mac OS X jacket valued at US$249." If that doesnit grab you, they will be providing all the latest developer information on the new OS as well. Mac OS X will be officially released on March 24th, and bundled on new Macs in the summer of 2001 (Think MACWORLD). According to the letter sent to developers:
