A ppleis head of marketing for Mac OS X Server and high-performance technical computing has been lured away and hired by Sun Microsystems, C|NET reports. Tom Goguen, who worked at Sun on Solaris in the 1990s, returned to the company Monday after working at Apple for three years.
Sun will debut Solaris 10, its new operating system, on November 15. The company plans to make the platform open-source in an effort spur developer interest, reports LinuxInsider.
