Apple Eyes Four New Stores in UK, Japan

Apple has plans to open three new stores in the UK, along with a seventh retail outlet in Japan, according to Macworld UK. The UK stores will be in the Bentall Centre in Kingston, Manchesteris Arndale Centre, and West Quay in Southampton. They will bring the total number of Apple retail locations in the UK to nine. Apple is hiring staff for the stores but hasnit set grand opening dates yet.

The companyis new Japanese store will open in Sapporo, Hokkaido this Saturday. Macworld UKis Jonny Evans noted that Apple confirmed during its last financial conference call that it would open 10 stores outside the U.S. this year, so it still has six more to go. The countries where they will open have not been disclosed.
