Apple Offering Some Apple Store Customers US$50 Discount

The company has sent out e-mails to some people who have previously ordered from the online Apple Store and offered them US$50 off of any order of US$999 or more. The offer is good through September 7th. From the anonymous note forwarded to us:

Thought you might want to see this. Iive received this offer twice this evening (to two different e-mail addresses... both of which have been used when ordering items from the Apple store).
