Apple Releases iPod Photo, U2 iPod in India

Acco rding to The Hindustan Times, Apple is now selling the iPod Photo and the U2 iPod in India.

With a population of over 1 billion, India is the second-largest country in the world. However, it is still considered an emerging market and ranks as the fourth largest economy behind the United States, China, and Japan. The iPod is already available in those three countries, as well as many smaller markets, including Britain.

At press time Apple had not updated its Apple Store, India site with information on pricing, but CRN India reports that the 40GB and 60GB iPod Photo will cost 34,100 and 41,700 Indian rupees (IRs), respectively.
