There have been a ton of rumors circulating to the effect that Mac OS X will be delayed. The source of those rumors has been a flurry of e-mails from the Apple Store telling customers that their order for X has been delayed. We contacted Apple who told us that OS X is on track and is not being delayed. Apple also
released a press release announcing that OS X has reached Golden Master status, and is being sent out for reproduction.
When asked why Apple Store customers had received these e-mails, Apple PR did not yet have an answer. We hope to hear more from them on that. Our speculation on that is included in the Spin below.
