Apple To Open 2nd UK Apple Store for Tiger

< A href="http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/04/20/apple_brum_store/">Apple Computer will be expanding its retail presence in the UK with a second retail Apple Store set to open the day the company releases Mac OS X 10.4, "Tiger." Appleis UK retail Web site said that the store is located in the Bullring Shopping Centre in Birmingham, England, and that it will open at 6:00 PM, on April 29th, just in time for Tiger.

"The Apple Store Bullring will open on Friday April 29th at 6.00 PM," the company wrote on its Web site. "Join us and be one of the first to get your hands on Mac OS X Tiger; learn about the new features of Mac OS X through demos and free workshops; and grab a scratch card to win a PowerBook G4, iPod or other prizes, while cards last."

In addition to scratch cards, Apple is giving away a Digital Lifestyle Collection that included a 20" iMac, an iPod, a Canon MV800 digital camcorder and a Canon iP6000D printer, all valued at some ?2,145.

Apple will also be giving away a free commemorative T-shirt to the first 1,400 people through the doors.
