Apple's Site Sees Steady Traffic Throughout MACWORLD Week

Typi cally MACWORLD mean a spike in interest, and thus traffic, to the Apple Web site. Last week, however, the Apple site did not experience the typical jump in visitors. According to the PC Data Top 10 list, Apple drew just over 1 million visitors. While that represents a solid number, it is not near the 1.5 million reached during MACWORLD NY last July. Apple was third on this weekis list, behind Dell and Compaq. The rest of the Top 10 contained no surprises, as hardware makers Gateway, HP, Intel, IBM, and Palm were represented, as well as resellers Egghead and Outpost. After a brief absence, Palm is back in this weekis rankings as the only newcomer.
