Auckland U Improves Mac Access

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) has penned a deal to increase the number of Macs on its campuses. Currently, there are about 500 Macs available primarily in the schools of Ats and Design and Communication Studies, and the Faculty of Health and Environment Sciences. According to ICT, AUTis deal with computer distributor Renaissance includes the latest Mac models, installation, servicing and IT support.

The deal means that students and faculty outside the departments that already use Macs will have easier access Mac OS X-based machines.

Liz Gosling, AUTis IT services director, commented "Our partnership with Renaissance provides for the best level of equipment, support and training for our staff and students."
