Bare Bones Software announced the immediate availability of BBEdit 8.5 on Thursday. The new version of the text and code editor adds language support for Ruby, SQL and YAML, improves support for object-oriented JavaScript, features a new interface, supports code folding, improves the find, change and review functions, incorporates version 5.0 of the Perl-Compatible Regular Expression library, and more.
BBEdit 8.5 is priced at US$125. Upgrades from version 8 are $30, or $40 for version 7 and older.
