Black Cat Systems has released an update for Audiocorder, bringing it to version 3.5.0. Audiocorder is a voice and audio recording app designed to turn a Mac into an automated recording device. The update features performance enhancements including monophonic sound device support. According to Black Cat Systems:
Audiocorder 3.5.0 has been released.
Audiocorder is a program which allows your Mac to act as a sophisticated audio recorder. In one mode, it operates as a volume operated (VOX) audio recorder. This allows you to set the volume that the sound must reach to begin recording, and the volume at which it should end recording. It also allows you to set the trigger length for the start and stop values, which helps you to eliminate recording short bursts of sound or ending the recording process during a short pause (such as in normal speech).
The latest version adds Applescriptsupport, support for monophonic sound input devices (ie: Telex and Labtec USB microphones) a pause button to momentarily pause recording (just like areal old-fashioned tape recorder), and a button to manually split a recording into individual tracks, ideal for breaking an album or CD into one track per song.
You can find more information about the Audiocorder update at the Black Cat Systems Web site. Audiocorder 353.0 is available for US$19.99.
