Blackmagic Releases Switchable DeckLink HD Plus PCI Cards

Blackmagic Design has released a new DeckLink HD card from IBC today. The Blackmagic DeckLink HD Plus is a PCI capture card designed for connecting broadcast video decks in an editing environment. The latest version features support for both SDI and HD video formats and instantaneous switching between the two. According to Blackmagic Design:

Today Blackmagic Design announced DeckLink HD Plus? a new generation of DeckLink HD card that adds genlock and HD Tri-Sync input as well as AES/SPDIF digital audio input and output.

Blackmagic DeckLink HD Plus? is the first uncompressed 10 bit video PCI card priced under US$1,000 that can do both standard definition SDI video, as well as full HDTV video formats and includes genlock for integration with large broadcast facilities. DeckLink HD Plus can instantly be switched between SDTV SMPTE-259M SDI video and HDTV SMPTE-292M/296M SDI video for 1080i/1080p/720p video editing and design.

DeckLink HD Plus? features a single HD/SD-SDI video & audio input and output, AES/SPDIF digital audio input output, genlocked AES wordclock output as well as a Sony? compatible RS422 serial deck control port.
