Corel Releases Preview Version Of Painter 6.1

Corel has announced that users of Corel Painter 6 are eligible to download and test out a preview of the forthcoming release of version 6.1. Painter remains one of the most popular graphic creation and manipulation programs for the Mac platform, and the new version promises a host of feature enhancements. According to Corel:

Corel Corporation invites you to preview the new and enhanced features in Corel Painter 6.1. As of today, users of the popular Corel Painter 6 Natural-Media? creation tool can download a beta version of the latest update. "We want to ensure that Corel Painter enthusiasts are in the loop with what Corel is doing to the application," said Ian LeGrow, executive vice-president, creative products. "We encourage artists to download and try out the latest features contained in the Corel Painter 6.1 update - weire positive theyill be pleased."

Scheduled for final release shortly, the free Corel Painter 6.1 update for current Painter 6 users will include an interesting palette of new features, enhancements and fixes. In addition to the improvements made to the soften, sharpen and highpass features ? the new woodcut effect is impressive and will give artists a more comprehensive array of tools.
