Cuckoo Nemo Finds Incredible Order In Boss's Daughter

< I>Every week, Vern Seward takes a look at Appleis latest offerings at the QuickTime Trailer site, letting your know whatis new.

Nemo is king

Finding Nemo is a number one, grade iAi, bona fide, super duper hit. In the least, it continues Pixaris string of animated hits that started with Toy Story. If you havenit seen it because you think itis a kidis movie, then you are doing yourself a disservice.

OK, enough gushing about Finding Nemo, which is really good, by the way. If you did happen to catch Nemo then you likely saw the teaser trailer for Pixaris next movie, The Incredibles. The trailer can be found on Appleis Movie trailer site. So, if you havenit seen Nemo yet, or missed the previews, watch it there, and you really should watch it. Thatis all weire going to tell you, just watch it.

Three Different People

Take a Finnish soldier, a Russian soldier, and a Lapp woman, set them so that the Fin and the Ruskie are enemies and no one understands what the other is saying. Three culture, three languages, two men, one woman. Something has to give. Such is the premise of The Cuckoo, a drama set during World War 2. This really looks good.

Good and Evil

Talk to any conspiracy theorist, and sheill tell you that there is a secret society that controls much of our lives. Talk to any spiritualist and heill tell you that there are certain people with igiftsi that allow them to see what most others cannot. What if both notions were true? What if the secret society was made up of rogue priests bent on taking over one of the most powerful religious organizations on Earth, the Catholic Church? What if there was a man whose paranormal sight is the only thing that can stop them? The Order stars Heath Ledger, Mark Addy and Shannyn Sossamon. Cool! A supernatural thriller, with an interesting plot.

...I am your father....

Ashton Kutcher plays the doofus junior exec, Tom, who has the hots for Lisa, played by Tara Reid. The problem is that Lisa is the daughter of Tomis ultra-anal boss. To impress both, Tom house sits for his boss, but, as with any comedy where a guy house sits for some life-controlling big-wig, things get way out of hand. My Bossis Daughter is formula comedy that might be a fun date movie, or not.

Thatis all folks

Thatill do it for this week. The new Tomb Raider trailer is also available for those of you dreaming you might have a chance with Angelina Jolie now that sheis single again.

If you havenit already, be sure to download the latest update to QuickTime. Version 6.3 boasts many improvements including:

You can download QuickTime 6.3 using OS Xis Software Update Control Panel, or get it from Appleis QuickTime site.

One last thought...

After watching the trailers for The Incredible Hulk, especially the latest ones, we are convinced that the movie may actually be pretty good. Itis not so much the CGI work that is making us think twice, but rather the apparent story behind all of the eye candy.

In the comics, it was always nice the see the Hulk stomp and smash, but the real story was how human Bruce Banner was. The humanity of Bill Bixbyis Banner (say that five times fast) was the reason the Incredible Hulk lasted as long as it did on TV. Obviously, you canit tell how good a movie will be merely by watching the trailer, though Hollywood would have you think so, but it seems that by promoting more of the human side of The Hulk and de-emphasizing the CGI, The Incredible Hulk looks to be more compelling.

What do you think?
