Default Folder X Updated Panther Enhnacments And More

St. Clair Software has released an update for Default Folder X, bringing it to 1.9.2. Default Folder X is a Open and Save dialog enhancement designed for improved Finder control. The update features Panther enhancements and improved compatibility. According to St. Clair Software:

St. Clair Software has updated Default Folder X, its Eddy Award-winning utility for enhancing Open and Save dialogs, to version 1.9.2.

Default Folder X 1.9.2 provides a new script for accessing Default Folder X from the Finderis toolbar in Panther, sports significant performance improvements to its hierarchical menus, and refines many of Default Folder Xis features.

It also corrects a number of compatibility problems, most notably crashes that occur in OmniGroup applications and when Favorites point to unmounted disks. A full list of the many changes in this update is available from the URL below. Version 1.9.2 is fully compatible with Mac OS X Panther and supports Pantheris new file dialog design.

In conjunction with this update, St. Clair Software would like to again remind users that versions of Default Folder X prior to 1.9 are completely incompatible with Panther. If you are running Default Folder X, you must turn it off or upgrade before installing Panther.

You can find more information about the Default Folder X update at the St. Clair Software Web site. Default Folder X 1.9.2 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$34.95.
