Our focus on the Apple Regional Liaison Team continues with three more members, and we start our coverage of the events surrounding Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo, including the User Group Leadership Conference .

  • Terry White of MacGroup-Detriot and Adobe outlines the successes and innovative projects that are taking his group into the future, his activites at the recent MacDesign Conference, and his presentation about MUG web sites at the upcoming User Group Leadership Conference.

MACINTOSH USERS GROUP OF SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY ANNOUNCES MACWORLD CREATIVEPRO BUS TRIP

The Macintosh Users Group of Southern New Jersey has announced that they will be running a one-day bus trip to Macworld CreativePro Conference & Expo in New York City on July 17. The bus will leave from Glouster County College and the cost of the trip is $22. Contact the leadership of the group on their web site for additional details and reservations.

USER GROUP ADVISORY BOARD MEMBER APPEARS ON "INSIDE MAC" RADIO SHOW

Lorene Romero of the User Group Advisory Board made a guest appearance on the Inside Mac Radio With Scott Sheppard on May 30th to talk about the user group events at the MacDesign Conference in Chicago.Other guests on the show included Jeff Baudin of Micromat, Inc., Jai Chulani, eMac Product Manager, Apple and Sam Levin, Senior Mac Technologist. STEVE WOZNIAK HIGHLIGHTS MARYLAND APPLE CORPSi 25th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak was the guest speaker at yesterdayis celebration of the Maryland Apple Corpsis 25th anniversary celebration, entitled "MD25MD."

The event featured a catered lunch, a massive raffle by a host of sponsoring vendors, and presentations by Apple Senior Systems Engineer Dave Marra, MaMUGs President Dan East, User Group Advisory Board Chairman Chuck Joiner, Maryland Apple Corpsi memberVictor Nazarian, Association of Personal Computer User Groups President Peggy Ireland, and Fred Showker, Director, User Group Academy & Editor, M.U.G. It was clearly Woz who was the highlight of the afternoon, entertaining and enlightening attendees on the pre-Apple exploits of he and Steve Jobs that led to the formation of the company, how he, as an engineer, saw things differently than his contemporaries, and much more. Congratulations to the Maryland Apple Corps on not only their 25th anniversary, but on a top-notch MUG event.
