Ecamm Network on Tuesday released Call Recorder for Skype. The US$14.95 utility lets Skype users automatically record and save their calls, as well as manually start and stop recordings.
The software leverages Mac OS Xis Core Audio technology and saves each call as an AAC-encoded QuickTime files, with separate audio tracks for each side of the conversation. A drag-and-drop conversion tool lets users easily turn the files into MP3s.
System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3 and Skype For Mac version 1.4. Call Recorder is a Universal Binary that runs on PowerPC and Intel Macs.
