Email Client Update From Bare Bones

Bare Bones Software has released an update for Mailsmith, bringing it to version 1.5.1. Mailsmith is an email client designed for Mac users. The update features performance enhancements including "smart" columns in the mail browser and improved imboxi importing. According to Bare Bones Software:

Bare Bones Software today announced the release and immediate availability of Mailsmith 1.5.1, the companyis powerful Internet email client for Mac OS X and Mac OS 9. This update incorporates various enhancements, interface refinements, and fixes for reported issues.

Version 1.5.1 adds two optional "smart" columns for the mail browser, whose behavior changes depending upon the content of the current message list. The "From/To" column displays the sender for incoming messages, and the recipient for outgoing messages, while the "Date Sent/Received" column displays the date sent for outgoing messages, and the date received for incoming messages.

This release also provides a more flexible imboxi file import procedure, and direct support for drag and drop of addresses from the Apple Address Book and Microsoft Entourage.
