Kinetic Creations has released a public beta of Export Icon. The latest update of the Photoshop plug-in, version 1.5, allows users to export Photoshop images directly as Mac OS icons. According to Kinetic Creations:

The Export Icon plug-in enhances Adobe Photoshop by allowing direct export of Photoshop images to Mac OS custom icon files. The plug-in creates custom icons directly from Photoshop images, using the imageis pixel data to create 4, 8 and 32 bit icons of every MacOS supported size. Export Icon creates traditional icon resources (iicl4i, iicl8i, etc.) as well as Appleis new iicnsi resource which contains all the separate icon data in a single resource. Export Icon optionally copies the data from this iicnsi resource to the data fork of the icon file for use in MacOS X.
