Facial Recognition App SDK Gets OS X Support

Lithuanian developer Neurotechnologija on Monday announced that the SDK (software development kit) for its VeriLook facial recognition software now supports Mac OS X. VeriLook 3.0 features an algorithm that can examine 100,000 faces per second and compare them to a database. In addition to Macs, it runs on Windows and Linux.

Other improvements in version 3.0 include a template extraction time that is three times faster than version 2.0, as well as an up to 50% decrease in the false acceptance rate, compared to the previous iteration. Mac OS X v10.3.9 and QuickTime 6 are required.
