File Escort 1.0 Now Shipping

Mark Malson has released a new app for Mac users, File Escort 1.0. File Escort is a file utility designed for launching and doc management. The app features a pop-up menu for file selection and dock space saving. According to Mark Malson:

Mark Malson is very pleased to announce the release of File Escort(tm) Version 1.0 for Mac OS X.

File Escort lets you open any file with any application with just one click. It will save you dock space by letting you take out less-frequently-used applications, and it will save you the time and aggravation of looking around for applications.

Tired of double-clicking a .pdf file and getting Preview instead of Acrobat Reader? Want to open an MP3 file with Audion instead of iTunes? Until now, you had use up your valuable dock space for every application you want to use this way, or worse, navigate around to find the application you want.

File Escort changes all that. File Escort adds an item to the pop-up menu you get when you control-click on a file. The File Escort menu contains a list of applications; select one and File Escort personally escorts that file to that application. It will save you dock space, time, and aggravation.

You can find more information about the File Escort release at the Mark Malson Web site. File Escort 1.0 is available for US$5.00.
