Find Stuff Easier, And Not Just On CDs

Norbert M. Doerner has updated his powerful disk cataloging utility, CDFinder, to version 3.1.1. CDFinder allows users to catalog nearly any type of storage media, providing a simple way to find files in any location. According to Norbert M. Doerner:

The author today announced the immediate availability of CDFinder 3.1.1.

CDFinder is a very fast and powerful tool to catalog your hard disks, CD-ROMs, DVDs, floppies, ZIPs and anything else that spins. It has a great user interface and very useful search functions. CDFinder supports drag&drop;and requires a PowerPC CPU. While System 8.5 is required, CDFinder is also fully compatible to MacOS 9.1 and Mac OS X. A special feature is the multi-lingual user interface (German/French/English/Italian/Swedish/Chinese).

CDFinder was the first disk cataloger tool for Apples new operating system for the Macintosh, Mac OS X.

New in CDFinder 3.1.1:

  • CDFinder now supports printing in Mac OS X!
  • CDFinder now works together with the PowerFile DVD Jukebox.
  • The design and handling of the list window column headers is now similar to Aqua.
  • CDFinder now catalogs the version info of items inside Apple Installer Archives.
  • In Mac OS X, CDFinder now uses the Preferences menu item in the application menu.
  • As usual, several minor bugs have been fixed.

CDFinder is available for US$20. You can find more information at the CDFinder Web site.
