Glucose has released a maintenance update for Impasse, bringing it to version 1.2.1. Impasse is an OS X firewall utility designed for personal internet security. The update features bug fixes and more informative interactive logging. According to Glucose:
Glucose today introduced Impasse version 1.2.1, a major bug fix and usability release for the easy-to-use firewall utility for Mac OS X.
Glucose Impasse version 1.2.1 offers more informative interactive logging. Impasseis new features make it much easier to see where denied packets are coming from since the packets are now listed by host name instead of IP address. Also, the rule that denied the packet is shown by its easy-to-read name instead of by the arcane ipfw firewall rule description. Also, Impasse now warns its users of new updates so it is even easier to stay up with rule changes and new functionality.
You can find more information about the Impasse update at the Glucose Web site. Impasse 1.2.1 is available for US$10.00.
