FirewireDirect announced the immediate availability of the HSB12-RM last Friday. The HSB12-RM is a 12-bay, hot-swappable, rack-mount FireWire hard drive enclosure. It can be configured as RAID level 0, and offers up to 600GB of storage. The hot-swappable bays hold standard 3.5-inch IDE/PATA hard drives. The HSB12-RM is available at the FirewireDirect Web site, and is priced starting at US$749.
