Gearlog Blog: 'Apple Makes Fast Windows PCs'

Gearlog, a blog thatis part of Ziff Davis, has published benchmarks for Windows XP running on a MacBook Pro, an iMac and a Mac mini Core Duo. After running Photoshop scripts, encoding a video file in Windows Media format, and obtaining CineBench scores, they declared that "Apple makes fast Windows PCs," when compared to the same benchmarks running on Core Duo PCs.

In particular, they found that the MacBook Pro ran Photoshop scripts faster than any other Core Duo laptop they examined, which "bodes very well for the performance of an Intel-accelerated OS X Photoshop, when that finally appears," they wrote.
