GoLive 5 Now Shipping

Adobe has announced that the latest release of their professional level HTML editor/site design tool, GoLive 5, is now shipping. GoLive 5 marks the first major upgrade to the product since Adobe acquired the original product, GoLive CyberStudio. CyberStudio was in version 3.x, and was released at Adobe GoLive 4 less than two months after the deal. That version did little more than put the program under the Adobe banner, and no real upgrades were made until the relase of version 4.1 a few months later. Even though the program is wildly popular and wonderfully powerful, the current version suffers from stability issues and huge memory requirements. The new version aims to address those issues while adding a host of new features. According to Adobe:

With over 100 new features, Adobe GoLive 5.0 is the ultimate Web authoring and site-management tool for creative professionals worldwide. Keep your code clean and lean with 360Code; visually design dynamically generated Web pages with Dynamic Link for ASP; and enjoy seamless integration with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe LiveMotion.
