Henrico County, Virginia, middle school students wonit be giving up their iBooks for at least another four years thanks to a school board vote on Thursday night. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the board voted to renew its iBook laptop contract with Apple that was set to expire on June 30 of this year.
As a part of the deal, Apple will provide middle school students and teachers with 12,675 new iBooks at a cost of US$1,246 each.
The districtis high schools will continue to use Dell computers.
