Intego on Monday announced that its security software will be fully compatible with Intel-based Macs on the day that the Intel version of Mac OS X becomes available. The company said in a statement that it will make sure all of its existing applications run on Intel-based Macs and will develop new software for the upcoming hardware. Intego also confirmed that it will continue to support PowerPC-based Macs during the transition to Intel processors.
Applications covered by Intelis announcement include NetBarrier, VirusBarrier, Personal Backup, ContentBarrier, ChatBarrier, Personal Antispam, Remote Management Console, Internet Security Barrier and NetUpdate.
