KavaSoft Updates Two Utilities With Service Commands

KavaSoft has released an update for Translation Service and HTML Character Converter, bringing them to versions 1.2.1 and 1.2 respectively. Translation Service is a utility designed for translating languages within a Services application. HTML Character Converter is a utility designed for special character encoding. The updates add commands to the services menu. According to KavaSoft:

KavaSoft has announced new versions of two applications that let you transform text in any application using the Services menu.

Translation Service translates the selected text from one language to another. Supported languages include English, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch, Greek, Korean, Portuguese, and Russian.

HTML Character Converter encodes special characters into HTML entities. For example, an e with an acute accent can be encoded to "é" and decoded back.

Both programs add commands to the Services menu, which is accessible in any application designed for Mac OS X. You can even choose your own keyboard shortcuts.

You can find more information about the updates at the KavaSoft Web site. Translation Service and HTML Character Converter are available for US$4.99 individually.
