A dozen customers interviewed during an informal poll revealed that only half of them knew about the recalls of batteries in Dell and Apple laptops, and among those who were aware, there was little concern expressed. PC Magazineis Mark Hachman spoke with customers at an Apple Store in central London, as well as a nearby PC World.
"I donit think anyone is too bothered by it," one customer said, noting the humorous tone of the comments he had read on the Internet. Another one said: "I think we have much more to worry about, security-wise, than a notebook going up in flames. When I travel Iim more concerned about confidential data being intercepted."
