Apple rolled out a new update for Logic Express on Thursday that addresses compatibility issues and improves Intel-based Mac support. Logic Express is Appleis mid-range professional audio and music editing application. This update includes improved compatibility with Logic 7.1 songs, adds direct playback of MP3 files, supports Euphonix MC and CM408T control surfaces, and fixes several minor bugs. It also adds ReWire and ReCycle support, Standard MIDI file export, OMF import, VSL EXS instrument compatibility for Intel-based Macs.
The update is free to Logic Express 7.2 users, or US$19 for Logic Express 7.0 and 7.1 users, and is available for download at the Apple Web site.
