MACWORLD Tokyo Day 2 Attendance Total Passes 100,000 Mark

IDG Japan has released figures for Day 2 of MACWORLD Tokyo attendance. The company says that 46,516 people walked through the doors of MACWORLD Tokyo on Friday, March 22nd, the second day of the event. Thursdayis attendance was officially 53,766, as we reported last week. That brings the grand total of attendees of this yearis MACWORLD Tokyo event to 100,282 people. Saturdayis figures, and an official grand total for the entire Expo, have not yet been released. Attendance for the show was originally forecast to be 180,000 people.

At last yearis event, IDG Japan said attendance for the event was as follows:

Day 1 (2/22/2001): 52,313
Day 2 (2/23/2001): 52,971
Day 3 (2/24/2001): 59,370
A number labeled as "Repeaters," which we were told was "probably" people who attended multiple days on the same badge: 16,155

Grand Total for MACWORLD Tokyo 2001: 180,810
