MUGs To Receive Special Attention At MACWORLD

Macintosh User Groups (MUGs) will be receiving some special attention at next weekis MACWORLD Expo. A series of events are planned, and a number of resources especially for MUG members will be made available. According to MACWORLD Organizers:

Next weekis Macworld Conference & Expo in New York City will be one of the best ever for Macintosh User Groups (MUGs)!

In addition to the Adobe and Apple User Group Breakfasts and User Group University, there are a host of events for Macintosh User Group members and leaders alike, as well as those who know nothing about the MUG community, but would like to.

THE MacBEGINNINGS CONFERENCE, "User Groups-What They Can Do For You" session will be held on Thursday, from 11:30AM - 12:45PM in the Special Events Hall of the Javits Center, and is open to all Expo attendees. If you are involved with MUGs, then youill find this session interesting for the presentations by leaders in the community, and how their groups represent that community. If you are new to the user group world, this is a great opportunity to find out what it is all about, what it offers, and why you canit afford not to avail yourselves of the best resource you and your Macintosh can have.

THE USER GROUP LOUNGE, in Room 3D04 of the Javits Center, will be open every day during show floor hours, and will feature presentations by a host of Mac celebrities who are noted for, among other things, their support of MUGs in both word and deed. Come and meet them in an informal, unstructured atmosphere!

There are also sessions where MUG members and leaders can get to know each other, and contribute their feedback and ideas to Appleis User Group Program.

Whether you are a MUG member or not, you are invited to stop in, meet new friends, and participate in the programs.

You can find more information at the MUG Center web site.
