MacInstall Makes Making Installers Easier

Public Access Software as updated their installer creator, MacInstall IDK, to version 1.1.8. The Istaller Development Kit allows programmers to create application installers, and the new version address several bugs and sports an improved interface. According to Public Access Software:

MacInstall IDK (Installer Development Kit) is now at version 1.1.8. MacInstall is a simple yet powerful software installer for the Mac OS made by and for fellow Shareware software developers.

Changes in this release:

  • Installers could crash is the Keychain feature of Mac OS 9 was disabled. This was also affecting earlier versions of Mac OS it appears.
  • Updated Editor appearance and minor changes to ensure the windows are properly redrawn when needed.
