MacPlay To Bring Fallout 2 To Mac For MACWORLD NY

MacPlay has announced that it will be publishing Fallout 2 for the Mac. The company also says that the title will be available "in limited quantity" for MACWORLD New York at the MacPlay booth. Fallout 2 was released for Windows several years ago, but continues to be popular today. From MacPlay:

MacPlay, a subsidiary of United Developers, announced today that it has added the highly popular hit title, Fallout® 2 to its 2002 line-up. Currently in final testing, Fallout 2 will make its worldwide debut in the MacPlay Booth at MACWORLD New York.

Fallout 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed RPG of the year Fallout®.  Fallout took RPGiing out of the dungeons and into a dynamic, apocalyptic retro-future.   Fallout 2 is badder than ever with bigger, smarter and nastier enemies. With improved combat AI, you will have to learn to kill smarter, not harder.

In the continuation of the story, it has been 80 long years since your ancestors trod across the wastelands. As you search for the Garden of Eden Creation Kit, to save your primitive village, your path is strewn with crippling radiation, megalomaniac mutants, and a relentless stream of lies, deceit and treachery. Fallout 2 is another award winning product produced by Black Isle Studios, whose credits include the critically acclaimed Balduris Gate, Balduris Gate II and Icewind Dale.

Fallout 2 will be priced at US$29.99. The company says the official release date for the title is July 31st of this year, but will have copies for sale at MACWORLD NY. As of this writing, MacPlay has not yet added an information page on the game.
