Mac OS X Innovators Contest Winners Announced

< A href="http://www.oreilly.com">OiReilly has announced the winners of its second annual Mac OS X Innovators Contest, a contest intended to recognize the best Mac OS X development. The company chose Delicious Library from Delicious Monster Software as the First Place, US division, and FotoMagic from Boinx Software as the First Place, International winner. The winners were determined by a committee chaired by Mac DevCenter managing editor Derrick Story.

The 1st place winner in the US category will receive an Apple Developer Connection (ADC) Premier Membership (US$3,5000 per year), and a full pass to the OiReilly Mac OS X Conference.

The 2nd place winner will receive an ADC Select Membership, as well as the above-mentioned pass.

Delicious Library is a lending-library utility intended to help people manage things like books and videos that they may loan to friends. The product was headed by Wil Shipley, founder of the Omni Group, and cofounder of Delicious Monster Software.

FotoMagic allows users to create presentations and slideshows from your iPhoto library, offering greater control and more features than iPhotois own slideshow tools. The software offers limited editing tools, as well as the ability to create animations.
