In addition to new iMac models, Apple also updated the Mac mini on Wednesday. The new Mac mini gives up its single core processor in the entry level model for a Core Duo chip without increasing the price.
The 1.5GHz Core Solo model now ships with a 1.66GHz Core Duo processor for US$599. The 1.66GHz Core Duo model has been upgraded to a 1.83GHz Core Duo processor, and its price remains the same at $799.
Other system specifications for both models remain unchanged and include 512MB of 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM, Intel GMA 950 graphics, DVI video out, a FireWire 400 port, four USB 2.0 ports, built-in Airport Extreme and Bluetooth, and Front Row with the Apple Remote.
