Marathon Computer is now shipping the DisplayLock for Apple Displays. The DisplayLock is designed to prevent accidental damage caused by knocking displays off desks and tables. The lock secures the monitor by the kickstand directly to a table or desk. According to Marathon Computers:
Marathon Computer announces the DisplayLock for Apple Displays.
DisplayLockis solid aluminum bar fits through the bottom of the Cinema or Studio Displayis plastic kickstand, and is secured into a bracket attached to the desktop.
The bracket can be secured in a fixed position, or by means of a single center screw that allows the Display to swivel. Either way, the easel is prevented from being accidentally scooted off the edge of the desk.
DisplayLockis aluminum bar is secured by means of screws that require a special Allen wrench (included in the package), thus serving as a theft deterrent.
You can find more information about the DisplayLock at the Marathon Computers Web site. The DisplayLock is available for US$19.00.
