Markzware on Friday released ID2Q7, a utility that converts Adobe InDesign files created with versions 1.5 through 4.x of the software into QuarkXPress 6.x or 7 documents. With one click, it converts all elements, including object positions, colors fonts, text attributes, images, and others.
ID2Q7 can also turn InDesign files created in Windows into Macintosh QuarkXPress documents, and vice-versa. The utility sells for US$199 and is available for Mac only at the moment. A Windows version and a Mac Universal Binary are in development, according to Markzware. QuarkXPress 7 is supported only on non-Intel Macs.
