Microsoftis Macintosh Business Unit on Tuesday released Office 2004 for Mac Service Pack 2. The major change is better Microsoft Exchange Server support in Entourage 2004, which includes faster client-server synchronization, full access to Global Address List information, notification of password expiration before it happens, the ability to view and manage hard drive use by mail folders and more.
In addition, Service Pack 2 offers better scroll wheel performance in Word 2004 and Excel 2004, improved encryption in Word 2004 and Excel 2004, improved stability when opening spreadsheets from other versions of Excel and enhanced document formatting in Word 2004. Changes to PowerPoint 2004 include improved text compatibility with the Windows version of the software, better performance when using QuickTime movies and improved stability when opening presentations created in the Windows version.
