Microsoftis Macintosh Business Unit (MBU) on Tuesday released Messenger for Mac 6.0.1, Office 2004 for Mac 11.3.0, and Office v.X for Mac 10.1.8. The Messenger update fixes a sign-in problem, while both Office downloads feature "several updates to enhance security and stability, including fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of your computeris memory with malicious code," according to the MBU. Previous Office 2004 and Office v.X updates are bundled in them.
Universal compatibility in Office for Mac wonit come until the release of Office 2007 for Mac, which is due in the third quarter of next year. A recent TMO article ran down all the new features expected in the suite of productivity software.
