Mr. TMO Goes To Washington... Errr... San Francisco

W e are off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of the Reality Distortion Field. We also thought it would be clever to use as many movie references as we could, so be sure and let us know how thatis working out for us.

In the meanwhile, TMOis staff is making the migration to San Francisco for Macworld Expo San Francisco 2003. We have seven people in attendance at this yearis show, the rest of the staff holding down the fort at the TMO Towers office complex. This means we will be providing our best coverage of Macworld Expo yet, including tons of photos (and just imagine how many photos a ton of HTML and JPEG bits can make), our normal live coverage from the keynote floor, company interviews, attendee interviews, and more new products than you can shake a stick at. Check out all our coverage for the show at our Macworld Expo San Francisco 2003 Report.

In addition, our own Nancy Carroll Gravley will be holding a session called "Getting Your Parents Online," and Dave Hamilton will be offering a session on iCal. TMOis editor, Bryan Chaffin, will be conducting a session on Transitioning to Mac OS X, for those looking to make the big move from Classic. Check with the Macworld Expo Web site for more information, or follow the above links.

We also have our "...because Windows sucks" and "I use a Mac" shirts on sale at the Expo. They are being sold at a special price of US$15.00 from the show floor, at the DevDepot booth (#3761). They will be on hand in limited quantities, so make sure you stop by sooner, rather than later, if you want to pick one up.

The Mac Observer is also one of the sponsors of Shawn Kingis Your Mac Life party. If you have tickets, you can see TMOis Dave Hamilton smack the skins in the Macworld All Star Band, along with Bob "Dr. Mac-with-a-Guitar" LeVitus and Paul Kent on guitar, Chris Breen and Scott Scheinbaum on keys, Chuck La Tournous and Duane Straub on the bass (at different times - this ainit no Spinal Tap show), and our own Bryan Chaffin will also be making an appearance on guitar. The Your Mac Life party is one of the best parties of the Expo, and one of the only ones you can buy your way in to, so check the Your Mac Life site for information. The Macworld All Star Band is the eveningis entertainiment, and we hope to see you there.

So stay tuned to The Mac Observer for a great week of Mac news coverage!
