New Desktops At Mandolux

Mandolux has released new desktops for download. The desktops are images for use as the background on Macs, and represent several different themes including absract imagery. According to Mandolux:

Mandolux has issued eight new desktops: four Giant Vector-based (Money/Queen Elizabeth), three Giant Petals (Roses/Macro), and a new Fire & Flames (chimney/logs) desktops this week. Coming soon: Feathers and Pintura (paint).

About the desktops:

  • The new Vector-based desktops are named Britannia and it is a set of Giant/Dual Monitor pictures. There is also the letterbox format (panoramic). The desktop is a Vectorized section of a bill (paper money) featuring the bust of Queen Elizabeth II. If wasn’t for the great time consumption in creating a desktop such as these, I’ll try to get more of these done in the future
  • The new Giant Petals are named Ingelise and the picture is a set of petals in a group creating a wonderful smooth/relaxing effect throughout the desktop. The picture is mainly made of whites and shades of pink
  • And lastly, the new Fire & Flame desktop is named Hedda and it is a picture of a log burning in a chimney

Coming soon:

  • Feathers: a set of pictures about bird feathers
  • Pintura (Spanish for paint): a set of pictures of canvases at really close range (macro)

You can find more information about the new desktops at the Mandolux Web site. The desktops are available as free downloads.
