New Desktops At Mandolux

Mandolux has released new desktops for download. The desktops are images for use as the background on Macs, and represent anywhere from abstract imagery to dual monitor desktop configs. According to Mandolux:

Mandolux has issued ten new desktops: five Vector-based (Surfing/Woman/Artistic), one Austere Petal (Nature/Macro), one Money 2K2 (Egypt/Macro), one Lincoln 2K2 (Abstract), one Graffiti (Photo), and one Bonzai/Taran (Nature/Roots)

About the desktops:

  • The latest Vector-based desktop is titled Surfing Girl and in my humble opinion, this is one of the best desktop I have ever made. It is a composition of a woman in a wetsuit with board at her side looking at an abstract wave. The desktop is available in Giant (1920x1200, 1440x900), Dual Monitor setups (1600x1200x 1280x1024, 1152x864, & 1024x768), regular and letterbox formats
  • There is a new Austere Petal titled Renee and it is a macro photograph of a rose petal. This desktop has a wonderful composition that creates a sense of flying (sort-of)
  • The latest Graffiti desktop is titled OBEY and it is a photograph of a tag-on-sticker placed on a phone bank. The picture is set in a 30-degree angle and 30-degree tilt to create a sense of movement and perspective (the focus is directed at the corner of the sticker)
  • Lastly, there is a new Bonzai/Taran titled Haru – it is a wonderful picture of a Bonsai tree roots flowing through the floor

You can find more information about the new desktops at the Mandolux Web site. The desktops are available as free downloads.
